The questions every roofer asks first
Why wouldn’t we just fly these ourselves?
Plenty of companies buy the drone. Far fewer run the annual program two years later — because the person who’d fly it is the person you need on a roof, and route days don’t survive a busy week. We’re not selling you a capability you couldn’t build; we’re selling the part that actually gets executed.
What counts as a qualifying storm?
Hail of one inch or larger, or a named wind event, in the enrolled property’s ZIP code. It’s defined up front so nobody’s arguing about whether last Tuesday counted. Response window is 2–3 weeks — storm demand spikes for everyone at once, and we’d rather commit to a window we hit.
Won’t customers think we’re drumming up work?
The report says what’s there, including when the answer is “your roof is fine.” That’s the version worth sending — a check-up that sometimes says nothing’s wrong is the one people believe the year it says something is.
Whose branding is on it?
Yours — company name, logo, and contact information on the report and the homeowner-facing materials. Reports carry a small “Powered by Docu-Fly” credit at the footer; everything else belongs to you.
How small a list can we start with?
Fifty roofs is the minimum for the program, because clustered routes are what hold the per-roof price down. Under that, individual inspections and measurement reports are still available à la carte — a lot of companies start there and enroll a book later.
